Suite René Letourneur

My brother and I wanted to dedicate a room to our beloved grandfather. I remember talking with him for hours about Art. His blue eyes would light up whenever he reminisced about Antonia and the day he met her for the very first time at Villa Medici in Rome. He was so enraptured and impressed by this amazing apparition that he picked all the roses in the Villa’s garden for her...

Suite Jacques Zwobada

After many years of passion and torment in desperate pursuit of Antonia, the sculptor Jacques Zwobada finally married her, our grandmother and the love of his life, thus becoming her second husband. When she died unexpectedly in Rome at age 42, Zwobada was devastated and almost destroyed by grief. In this dramatic scenario, he proved to be an incredible artist: together with his friend the architect Herbé, they built a mausoleum for Antonia, a “TajMahal” in the roman countryside.

Suite John & Yoko

Our mother Anne Filali, Antonia’s daughter, created the“Strawberry Fields Garden” memorial in New York Central Park with her friend Yoko Ono.  As a further tribute to John Lennon, Yoko and Anne conceived an impressive art book in which many artists of the 20th century paid tribute to his vision of peace. Let us open the doors of John & Yoko’s Suite: the spirit of the Seventies will surely capture you.

The Blue Room

“Giacomo has the vision, the interior designers Charles-Philippe & Christophe have the eye”. Imagine a monumental 18th century room: vast, with very high ceilings, elm wood doors, enveloped in an unusual blue hue: the blue of our childhood, the sugar paper’s color! This could be a film set where, all of a sudden, our granduncle and Hollywood actor Enzo Fiermonte appears for you...

Lady Astor’s Suite

Lady Astor married our granduncle Enzo Fiermonte (Antonia’s brother) in Long Island. In the early Thirties they were America’s most glamorous couple. Enzo was running for the boxing world championship in Madison Square Garden when he met the richest woman of the East Coast, Lady Astor...
A soft powder pink colours the room. The large glass door opens onto the Suite’s charming terrace. With its antique pink marble bathroom, this Suite is one of the most spectacular of the Palazzo.

Suite Fernand Léger

“He is my favorite artist“, says Giacomo. When my brother first imagined how La Fiermontina’s entrance would look, he immediately saw the shadow of “The Two Sisters”, the first sculpture he ever collected by this immense French post-cubist artist. We are pleased to recreate some of the Biot atmosphere in this suite facing the garden.

Suite Lalla Soukaïna

She is the owner Giacomo’s daughter - a spectacular young woman living between Marrakech and Los Angeles. She loves art, décor, hotels, travelling, and she loves Lecce too. “No!” she would reply, “I love my twins above all!”
If one had to pick a word to describe her, it would be “glamour”. Enter her Suite full of mirrors: she chose for you the bed from Milan, the rug from Marrakech… A book lays open at Picasso’s black and white picture.

Suite Moulay Idriss

This Suite is named after Giacomo’s son. From Italy to Morocco...
We still remember when we were children, all those amazing letters our grandmother Antonia used to send from Fès in the early Fifties. She went there to meet our father’s family in the ancient Merinids kingdom’s capital where she lived the spirit of the Arabian Nights...

A Room with a View

How aptly named! A huge window opens over Lecce’s Old Town. Terraces, secret gardens, bougainvillea shimmer through a Salentine wrought iron moucharaby and above it all the blue sky filled with hundreds of swallows.
